What is "Buy from Individual" transaction?

This transaction type is for buying a vehicle from a private seller (not from dealer, none-auction, professional companies). It records the purchase, adds the vehicle to your stock, and generates purchase documentation.

Use "Buy from an Individual" when acquiring inventory from private parties rather than auctions, dealers, or commercial sellers.


Create the private seller's contact information, enter the transaction date, input the vehicle's license plate number, set your purchase price and intended selling price, and save.

Jouver suggest you enter vehcile details such as make, model, VIN, and registration date when you enter the first time, more information you add, easier it will make the process to generate the other documents.


The system assigns an Official Inventory Record ID for compliance tracking. Because the seller is an individual, tax treatment typically differs from business purchases—usually no tax recovery is possible on private purchases (please double check with your accountant or local regulation).

The vehicle immediately appears in your Stock with all details populated, showing purchase date, purchase price, intended selling value, and days in inventory counter starting at day one.

This transaction type generates purchase documentation showing you as the buyer and the individual as the seller, meeting regulatory requirements for vehicle dealers to document all acquisitions.

The financial metrics on your Stock page update to reflect the cash invested in this new inventory and its contribution to total stock value.
