What payment methods can I record in Jouver?
Record multiple payment methods including cash, check, bank transfer, and online payments.
Enter the payment method in the "Price and Payment" section or add observations to specify the payment type.
Details: Tracking payment methods is important for accounting reconciliation and cash management. Jouver accommodates all common payment types used in vehicle sales.
When completing the Price and Payment section of a sale transaction, you'll find fields or dropdown menus where you can specify how the customer is paying. Select cash for immediate currency transactions, check for traditional paper checks (you might also note check numbers in observations), bank transfer for direct electronic transfers, or online payment for credit card or digital payment processing.
If your customer uses multiple payment methods for one purchase (like a deposit by check and remainder by bank transfer), you can note this in the observations or comments field at the bottom of the transaction page to maintain clear records.
This payment method tracking flows through to your reports and exports, helping you reconcile your bank deposits, understand your cash flow composition, and track how customers prefer to pay.
Accurate payment tracking also helps if disputes arise about whether and how a customer paid.
